Vicks Vaporub has been a staple in Irish medicine cupboards for generations. It contains menthol and camphor to calm a cough, eucalyptus and menthol will relieve nasal congestion and eucalyptus also relieves catarrh. It can be used in conjunction with other cough and cold medicines if required.
It can be used in two ways:
Adults and children over 2: Can have it rubbed onto their chest and back at the first sign of a cold.
This can be repeated 2-4 times per day as required.
Leave clothes loose to allow vapours to be inhaled easily.
Adults and children over 6: Can inhale the vapours if a headcold or catarrh is persisting. Dissolve 5-10mls of the vaporub in a bowl of hot, but not boiling, water.
Inhale the vapours for 10-15 minutes.
Children will need supervision while using this method. (Never reheat the mixture).

Contains Levomenthol 2.75% w/w, Camphor 5% w/w, Eucalyptus oil 1.5% w/w and Turpentine oil 5% w/w.
